A Journey of Passion, Purpose, and Persistence
The story of the Fortunate Michael Charity Foundation is rooted in a deep passion for humanity and a personal commitment to making a difference—no matter how small the beginning.
In 2018, driven by the desire to give back, the founder took the first step by bringing together a group of friends in Ibadan. Together, they formed a small initiative called the Youth Empowerment Forum, meeting regularly with the goal of supporting the less privileged and uplifting their community.
The vision was clear—but the journey was not easy.
Despite the shared intention to help others, challenges began to arise. Differences in commitment, inconsistency, and lack of alignment made it difficult to sustain the group’s efforts. Plans were sometimes disrupted, and progress was uncertain. What was meant to be a united mission often faced setbacks.
But instead of giving up, the founder saw these challenges as lessons.
With a stronger vision and a clearer sense of purpose, a bold decision was made—to build something more structured, more focused, and more impactful.
That decision led to the birth of the Fortunate Michael Foundation, officially registered in 2022.
Since then, the foundation has grown into a beacon of hope—reaching hundreds of lives through:
Youth empowerment and school debates
Vocational training programs
Free medical outreach and healthcare support
Food distribution and humanitarian assistance
Community and seasonal outreach initiatives
What started as a simple desire to help has now become a mission that continues to transform lives.
